Clicker Training: A Progress Report

I think it's pretty safe to say that clicker training at our house has taken a few (some might say crucial) steps back. But on a brighter note, if I ever get sick of giving Oscar his normal treats, apparently I could just start feeding him clickers.

Happy blog hopping!

Hello Oscar! We're working on clicker training here too, but ours looks a little different. Luckily, they come cheap, huh? Have a happy weekend, and thanks for visiting. :)

Hi Y'all,

That's why my Human uses "GOOD BOY!".

She has trouble remembering to carry my whistle. She'd never have the clicker with her when she needed it to reward me...which is continually, I might add.

I sniff her waist to make sure she has the treat pouch. I sniff loudly when she doesn't and sometimes bark at her to remind her.

Y'all come by now,
Hawk aka BrownDog

How funny! Oscar let his feelings be known, I guess.

I was thinking of you yesterday when I found this AMAZING blog about clicker training:

LOL! That's what we schnauzers do. I'm a snorkie and I'd do it if I could get hold of it. Love to chew!

No clicks, no cookies. Poor Oscar!

(BTW: Have you tried the i-click clicker? I like it much better. It's easier to click, and a smidge quieter. No, there's nothing in it for me, and no, it's not any more dog resistant!)

I just looked the i-click up and it does look interesting...but I don't think any of the pet stores near me carry it. I may just have to buy another cheap little clicker this afternoon. :)
